This work was way outside of my typical comfort zone, and I was working with my friend/beta pretty close to the deadline to cut out the parts that weren't working and bolster the parts that were. I'm proud of myself for taking a swing at something casefic-ish, and for stepping outside of my typical kind of wheelhouse to try and make something that my Seekrit Santa recipient would like--and for not backing out when it wasn't going quite the way I wanted, partway through. Conundrum seemed to enjoy it, and so I'm counting this one as a success!

 A new twitter buddy of mine who was in due South fandom a long time ago asked if I had any modern-ish (2008 & later) dS fic recs I could send them, and I did! I also asked the big bang discord server if they had any recs & scrounged a few from the recs channel on the due southbound discord server, but largely these are from my own bookmarks.
