_

This work was way outside of my typical comfort zone, and I was working with my friend/beta pretty close to the deadline to cut out the parts that weren't working and bolster the parts that were. I'm proud of myself for taking a swing at something casefic-ish, and for stepping outside of my typical kind of wheelhouse to try and make something that my Seekrit Santa recipient would like--and for not backing out when it wasn't going quite the way I wanted, partway through. Conundrum seemed to enjoy it, and so I'm counting this one as a success!

If you have a better idea for how to describe this fic's genre, I'm all ears!

Title: What Welding Has Put Together
Fandom: SOTUS
Genre: Magical realism AU, outsider POV, construction AU, found family
Rating: T
Word Count: 2195

I feel a little guilty that I'm still up in the air re: whether I'm going to finish my dS big bang, and keep writing these little snippets for other fandoms, but since I wrote this one on a night when I wouldn't have been able to work on my big bang anyways I've elected to not let myself feel too bad about it.

This is a fandom that most of you are probably unfamiliar with, but because it's written from an outsider POV anyways it might make sense regardless of whether you're familiar with the source canon, if you're curious about it?

Title: E/H/L (Go!)

Title: Rhyming Schemes
Fandom: SOTUS
Genre: Angst, Post-Canon, Episode Tag (SOTUS S series finale)
Rating: T
Word Count: 1164
Summary: Arthit was not the kind of guy who would have ever come out to his colleagues if he could help it. Not because he didn't love his boyfriend, but because he liked to keep his private life private, thank you very much. The way malicious eyes and hungry gossip follow him around is slowly eating away at the courage he'd promised Kongpob he had after all, and sooner or later something is going to have to break.

Title: Video Killed The Radio Star (But iTunes Brought It Back)
Fandom: Bungo Stray Dogs

Pairing: Atsushi/Akutagawa (SSKK)
Genre: Podcast/Screenplay, Romance, College AU
Rating: T
Word Count: 2743
Summary: “Partnership is like a marriage, son. Give and take, up and down, who left the empty butter dish in the fridge...it isn't easy.”
By luck of the draw, Atsushi and Akutagawa are roommates their first year of university. Their dorm leader suggests—in a tone that says it isn’t really a suggestion—that they find a way to talk to each other about their shared interests. A podcast is probably not exactly what he had in mind.
Inspired by Vesh's Tell Me I'm A Bad Man (kick me like a stray), and pop punk music discourse more generally.

Yes, that is a due South quote you see there in the summary, because I am deeply predictable and apparently cannot help myself.

I'm considering going back and editing this so it's a fully American college AU--I attempted to set it in modern day Japan, but I'm a little uncomfortable with how American it is for a fic ostensibly set in a different country, and I'm not sure I could de-Westernize it to the extent that I'd like to without doing a major overhaul and some serious research into Japanese pop culture in the mid 2000s.

Genre: Crossover, Crack
Rating: T

Most days it kind of feels like he still hasn’t managed to stand back up. // The “circle all that apply” redux; or, No/Nay/Never from Holster’s perspective. Part three of the Star-Spangled Heart AU.
thisaintbc: Kent Parson from omgcp (Parse)
Title: No/Nay/Never (Circle One)
Fandom: Check Please
Pairing: Kent Parson/Adam "Holster" Birkholtz
Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, AU
