Summary: “Partnership is like a marriage, son. Give and take, up and down, who left the empty butter dish in the fridge...it isn't easy.”
By luck of the draw, Atsushi and Akutagawa are roommates their first year of university. Their dorm leader suggests—in a tone that says it isn’t really a suggestion—that they find a way to talk to each other about their shared interests. A podcast is probably not exactly what he had in mind.
Inspired by Vesh's Tell Me I'm A Bad Man (kick me like a stray), and pop punk music discourse more generally.

Yes, that is a due South quote you see there in the summary, because I am deeply predictable and apparently cannot help myself.
I'm considering going back and editing this so it's a fully American college AU--I attempted to set it in modern day Japan, but I'm a little uncomfortable with how American it is for a fic ostensibly set in a different country, and I'm not sure I could de-Westernize it to the extent that I'd like to without doing a major overhaul and some serious research into Japanese pop culture in the mid 2000s.
