I haven't--I've been going back and forth on how appropriate it feels to post it to ds-noticeboard since it isn't a due South or C6D specific thing. It seems like a great way to spread the word, but I don't want to be That Person, you know?

That's fair. I'm tempted to say you could promote it outside of the Noticeboard, but that probably would draw in more people with various fandoms, and IDK if that's something you'd want.

I'd love to see a wide variety of fandoms represented, provided it seems like they're being represented in terms of both prompts and fills instead of just prompts, and I def want to get word out! I'm a little worried, as the sole mod, about the admittedly VERY slim possibility of the kink meme somehow catching on a lot more than anticipated and getting just slammed--honestly, the two reasons I hesitated before making it were wondering if it would get zero activity and wondering if it would get way too much for me to handle on my own--but I guess we'll burn that bridge when we come to it!

Unfortunately, I'm not super familiar with dreamwidth communities outside of due South fandom & a handful of fandom-specific comms I've sought out at various times. Do you know of a more generic noticeboard type community where I could promo it?

(butting in here) A couple of the more well-known panfandom comms for promoting challenges are fandomcalendar and fandom_on_dw, possibly also pimpmethis.

Of course!! I'm glad <3 even though it's only been up for a few days so we only have prompts so far, I've been really enjoying seeing the prompts folks are sending in! ^_^

What feroxargentea said re: other communities. And I'd suggest still posting a note about it on the Noticeboard, since it takes place on a ds comm. You could make a caveat that it's not exclusively ds/c6d, but that crossovers and whole other fandoms are welcome--I'm sure a lot of noticeboard people won't mind. :)

(But absolutely, if you feel it would overwhelm you, or if you feel it wouldn't be ds-centric enough for the noticeboard, those are all valid, too.)
